Afternoon Tea Weddings
Afternoon tea weddings in Leeds, West Yorkshire, York, Bradford & Huddersfield - perfect for informal celebrations, marquee, village hall & barn type venues
We have the 7th Duchess of Bedford (Anna) to thank for inventing the delicious afternoon tea.
As a young women in the early 1800s she lived during a time when it was common to eat only two main meals a day, an early breakfast and late dinner. Weakened and irritated by hunger pangs, she decided to schedule time to take tea and treats each afternoon. Genius!
Lots of brides are deciding against the traditional wedding breakfast or buffet and opting for afternoon tea instead - creating for a more informal celebration and perfect for marquee, village hall and barn type venues as no on-site preparation is needed.
